It is undisputed that medical and dental care in Germany is increasingly based on the regulations of public health, which is rushing from reform to reform. "Regel-, gleichartige oder andersartige Versorgung" were the buzzwords in 2005, basic rate and health insurance obligation in 2009. In 2012, we received a long overdue amendment to the Rules on Fees, which attempts to develop a contemporary medicine from scarce resources. Currently, the "Bürgerversicherung" is constantly being addressed. In the future, it will become increasingly important for the patient and the dentist to develop common strategies to face up to this uncertain development. It is also important to determine the actual individual risk. We give all our patients access to modern, medically meaningful therapies that are supposed to be individually tailored to their needs and desires. A particularly gentle and painless treatment stands above all.
